《荷馬史詩》哪一個譯本更好一些
樓上說的對,陳中梅的譯文是最受好評的。
還有一本《古希臘神話與傳說》(斯瓦布的)也可以,只是有種把史詩改成小說的感覺。
我想買《荷馬史詩》,但是不知道誰翻譯的比較好。希望有人能給我點意見,先謝謝了!
荷馬史詩有兩個常見的譯本:王煥生的(人民文學(xué))和陳中梅(上海譯文)的。王煥生是專攻過古希臘語的,所以他的譯本被稱為經(jīng)典,陳中梅的譯本則有一些爭議,有人認為更符合現(xiàn)代閱讀習(xí)慣,有人則認為翻譯的不好~~
另外,《羅念生全集》內(nèi)還有一卷《伊利亞特》,不過羅念生沒譯完,囑咐其弟子王煥生譯完,后來這個兩人合譯完成的版本由人民文學(xué)出版社出版,補譯已經(jīng)譯完全文了。在這之后,王煥生繼續(xù)獨自譯完《奧德賽》,也由人民文學(xué)出版社出版,王譯基本上是按照羅譯的套路走的,有意和羅譯保持風(fēng)格上的一致。
陳中梅是一人獨自完成了《伊利亞特》《奧德賽》兩書的翻譯,曾在多個出版社出過,如花城出版社、譯林出版社、燕山出版社、上海譯文出版社等,前后略有修訂,在網(wǎng)上搜索也可以輕易找到電子版。
《奧德賽》另有楊憲益先生散文體譯本,久未再版,現(xiàn)市面多不見。
以上版本均譯自古希臘原文。
荷馬史詩較早的有傅東華先生從英譯本轉(zhuǎn)譯的散文版,現(xiàn)在亦多不見。
荷馬史詩還有英譯版,有名的有蒲伯、查普曼譯本,他們的譯法都是比較自由的,是上好的文學(xué)作品,但未必是忠實的譯文?,F(xiàn)代英譯很多,Lattimore的是公認比較權(quán)威的譯本之一。
